Plainly: at the moment no links on this site are affiliate links, and we earn no commission from any vendor.
Current status
Every product link on Scannethub — on reviews, comparisons, category tables and the where-to-get page — is a direct link to the vendor’s official website. None of these links earns us anything, and no vendor pays us for visits, sign-ups or purchases.
If that changes
Should we ever join a vendor’s affiliate program, the affected links will be labelled as affiliate links right next to where they appear, and this page will be updated first to list exactly which products are involved.
What would never change
- Reviews, readouts and table order are decided by the criteria on our methodology page.
- Vendors do not see reviews before publication and cannot pay for placement or changes.
- We recommend open-source tools wherever they fit the reader’s situation better.
Why we have this page
The US Federal Trade Commission’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255) require that material connections between a publisher and a seller be clearly disclosed. Similar rules apply in the UK, Canada and Australia. Beyond the rules, you should know who benefits when you click — today, nobody but you.
